While he began as a rapper, Tyga is mainly known as Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend even though both deny ever dating. The rapper’s hit song Rack City gained him a great deal of attention which also uncovered disappointing truths about him, like the age gap between the two and the fact that Kylie was too young to vote at the time.

We are tempted to think maybe this is why his music career didn’t pick. Despite that, Tyga continues to put out his music - the truest definition of passion if you ask us. His greater passion, however, seems to be towards Kylie, alongside whom he is often spotted.

 

 

Hillary Duff

Hillary Duff has been off of the spotlight for some time now, commonly known to us as "Lizzie McGuire" from the movie Lizzie McGuire. That, however, doesn't come out as a bother to her because she's discovered that her time has passed.

Hillary is currently married to an American singer-songwriter Matthew Koma and has been blessed with a beautiful baby. Luckily, Her family is the reason why she is no longer present in our eyes. Nevertheless, the fact that Hillary is no longer famous doesn't mean that she's not good at what she used to do or that the actress can't get back to where she was.

 

Tara Reid

Tara Reid made her Hollywood breakthrough when she starred in the massive hit, American Pie in the late nineties and early 2000s. Reid held on to her status with the successful television series Wild On which was later renamed Taradise. Perhaps the change in the name of the series changed the direction her fame was headed.

Reid’s career has been declining since, although she’s tried her best to keep it on track by taking on small projects that don’t have much recognition in the industry today. This means that even though Reid is still in the acting business, she’s stepped out of the celeb spotlight for a while now.

 

Mariah Carey

Christmas is a memorable holiday for most households in our era, and so is the Christmas song All I Want for Christmas is You. The fame this song gained was shared with its singer Mariah Carey who caught the hearts of many of her fans. Sadly, her stardom was brief as most of her fans later became familiar with her song.

Even though Mariah has managed to stay relevant for some time with her recent New Year’s Eve performance in 2016 yet, instead of celebrating her, people badly criticized her vocals. Her career finally took the final hit when she made negative remarks towards Nicki Minaj on American Idol.

By now, we all know that talent doesn't guarantee anyone fame, and Lea Michele has grappled to preserve the little she has left. Michele's popularity hasn't increased much despite getting another chance after her Glee stint on Scream Queens and even beginning her music career after the former failed to work out.

What's that they say about what goes around comes around? Maybe it's because she has been mean to fellow workmates before or plain old mischance. Whatever the reason, we hope the American actress finally gets a hold of what her heart greatly desires.

 

 

Cameron Diaz

For a one-time popular actress to go from fame to your average person without the public taking much notice, it takes the slyness only Cameron Diaz can pull off. The actress hasn’t featured in new movies for seven years since In Her Shoes, The Holiday, and Charlie’s Angels.

Cameron possibly grew weary of the limelight and chose to settle down with her husband Benji Madden with whom she exchanged vows in 2015. Now in her late forties, the former Hollywood actress has revealed she is in no rush of getting back to acting and is instead focusing on her family and new wine brand.

 

Tyra Banks

Famous from the 2000s, you would think model and actress Tyra Banks would cut it in the entertainment industry as a pop star like it was her dream, but sadly it didn’t happen for her. Tyra’s last significant movie was Life-Size, still the zeros.

This America’s Next Top Model judge and Dancing with the Star host spent six years chasing her music dream all for the wrong reasons. Good thing her derailed music venture led to the admired Tyra Banks Show. She may not be a big wig at the moment, but the gorgeous TV personality is definitely a force to reckon with for some.

 

Roseanne Barr

We know American actress Roseanne Barr from her stand-up comedy stints as well as the sitcom show Roseanne where she featured alongside John Goodman. Contrary to her down-to-earth blue-collar mom character on the show, Barr is the complete opposite in real life.

Twenty years after the show had ended, the actress signed up a contract to renew it in 2018. A racist tweet got it canceled within hours and got her on the road to becoming unpopular. Barr has since remained under the rugs, which is unlike her, as the comic proved inseparable from her Twitter account.

 

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan would easily wear the 2000s star crown as it befits her. The American actress is mostly linked to her role in Disney’s The Parent Trap during which she blossomed into a notable young actress. Unfortunately, Lohan got caught up in a mesh of personal and legal issues, staring at the downward spiral of her fame.

Since then, it hasn’t been easy for the actress, as her attempt to stage a comeback proved futile. Lohan has since kept her profile low, probably the reason the public may have forgotten her. She continues to flex her creative muscle through various prolific outlets.

 

Amanda Bynes

Between 1990 and 2000, The Amanda Show was all the rage, and almost every youngster raved about it. Then came her spin-off All That which attracted even more attention. Unfortunately, her fame did not last long. No sooner did the show end than Amanda became forgotten from public memory.

She has made several attempts to win her seat back with movies such as Hairspray and What a Girl Wants without much success. In 2013 she experienced a breakdown and has been trying to make a comeback ever since, but luck has clearly not been kind to her.

 

Hulk Hogan

There was a time when ‘The Hulk’ was so popular that a new term was coined, ‘Hulkmania.’ During the 80s, pop culture was dominated by the WWE champion performer. Then came movies starring the wrestler and reality TV shows that discovered a sleazy family, how the mighty has fallen! Hulk has pretty much lost his music.

In the last decade, the ray of sunshine about Hulk is that he won a lawsuit against a tabloid that had published certain questioning tape involving him. Hogan makes honorary appearances on WWE, but he is just not the same anymore.

 

 

Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal used to be one of the most prominent faces of the NBA. Post-retirement in 2011, fans were very disappointed and missed the incredible build and skills, but the player has not disappeared from the scene altogether.

He made it into a few movie projects such as Steel and Kazaam , which did nothing for his career apart from pulling it down. These days he is working on some small-time TV series, though he is primarily known for being a sports analyst with Inside the NBA. Not bad for a retirement plan!

 

Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks signed her first contract when he was just seventeen, starting very strong in her career, and this saw fans comparing her with the second coming of Miss Elliot. Unfortunately, Azelia's contribution to music remains painfully meager, yet she has been involved in stories with one celebrity after another, including Lady Gaga, Zayn Malik, and even Elon Musk.

We think Banks needs a good mentor to find her way in life because breaking news will help her to the front page but not for long. She has had trouble with the law, has been banned from different social media sites, and no longer has any endorsements.

 

 

Nicole Elizabeth Lovable ''Snooki''

Nicole Elizabeth Lovable, "Snooki," is a television reality personality who starred in the MTV reality shows; Jersey Shore, Snooki & Jwoww, Dancing with the stars, and many more. The question is, is she still relevant to the limelight? Is she still famous? Will she bounce back to being famous?

With her ironic hair gone, Snooki has been trying relatively hard to stay in the spotlight by appearing at interviews and TV gigs. The fact that she's no longer famous shouldn't matter because who can ever forget Snooki?

 

John Travolta

John Travolta may no longer give us the "Travolta fever," but he sure did shine during his time. The famous actor from the movies; Grease, Pulp Fiction, and Saturday Night Fever. He might no longer be recognized, but that doesn't mean he is forgotten.

He once introduced Idina Menzel ( the singer and voice of Elsa Frozen) as Adele Dazeem, which sparked his fame loss because clearly, the women look nothing alike. Travolta still gets roles and attends red carpet events, but he's just not giving the Travolta vibes anymore.

 

Iggy Azalea

She came, shook the music industry, and left just as fast as she'd arrived. Iggy Azalea, famous for her hit song Fancy rose to fame in the early 2010s. Critics and attacks might have sparked Iggy's disappearance from the music industry, which instantly extinguished her fame. In addition, her unique rapping powers might have earned her some cultural accusations.

Iggy disappeared after her album Reclassified debut in 2014 and returned in 2019 with a song, In my Defense, that didn't get noticed much. So her fame is gone, but that doesn't mean that her music is. Those, especially Fancy will forever remain famous hit songs.

 

Jonathan Cheban

Former publicist John Cheban's fame spiked up after being featured in the reality show Keeping up with The Kardashians. He was the then best friend for Kim Kardashian. They practically did everything together. Cheban spent most of his time together with Kim Kardashian side by side.

He's been trying to remain relevant in the industry, but things aren't working his way. Cheban appears at most of the red carpet events whenever he can, which is always. His loss of fame shouldn't stress him out because we'll remember him as Kim's best friend.

 

Nicholas Cage

Nicholas Cage debuted with his movie Fast Times in 1982 and established himself as a seasoned actor through his memorable roles in films such as National Treasure and Face/Off. However, his strange behavior and the towering list of lack-luster performances in his name have landed him permanently into meme-dom.

On the positive side, he remains a household name seared into our brains, albeit as the centre of jokes, but as they say, “any publicity is good publicity.” So thank you, Nicholas, for allowing us to chuckle endlessly and providing us with abundant meme material.

Christina Milian- actress, singer, and songwriter born in Jersey City, New Jersey, had started her career at the age of 19 when she signed with M***er Inc. Records. Her popularity soared with her singles AM to PM and Dip It Low, but this fame did not last too long.

Despite being nominated for two Grammy awards, her fandom shrunk rapidly. The fading star tried the revival tactic of venturing into a reality show called Christina Milian: Turned Up, but by the time this show launched, the masses had turned their attention to other rising stars.

 

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag

It’s always splendid to step into the celebrity spotlight with your partner and do what you do best -get famous. That’s the story of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag when they first emerged as a favorite couple. They made waves and entertained fans for a while, but unfortunately, the stardom was short-lived.

Spencer and Montag made appearances in several popular reality shows as the Blonde Couple and people loved them. Unfortunately, the recognition they achieved is declining, and from time to time, they appear on television shows to keep their status alive, but it seems it’s just not working for the couple.

 

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton- a name we heard a lot about a decade ago but were never sure why, is a socialite, businesswoman, model, singer, actress, and DJ - as per the description on her website. Paris had reached stardom by starring in an X-rated film titled 1 Night in Paris. She gained more traction through a TV show called The Simple Life, which aired its last episode on 5 August 2007.

Paris's popularity has been fizzing out despite her constant presence in the elite circles as a socialite and her gigs as a DJ. So the revival of her golden days seems unlikely.

 

Owen Wilson

Owen Wilson is one celebrity we are sad to put on this list. He has legitimate acting skills and has played some iconic roles in movies like Meet the Parents, Shanghai Noon and Zoolander where he established that his screen presence was recognizable.

While Wilson continues to act, he has only starred in one movie between 2018 and 2021, and you may be hard-pressed to remember the last film that had him in the lead role. While we would have loved to see him in the spotlight, it seems like fate wants him resting in the shade.

 

Stephen King

At one point in time, Stephen King justified his name and reigned over the world of horror and fantasy novels. If you were ever into this reading genre, you indeed would have picked up a book or two written by him.

Although King renounced his throne by declaring official retirement in 2013, he continues to write at the same pace as his prime days. Unfortunately, he may be set in his ways, so his writing style (as per many of his readers) has become passive and repetitive, leading to waning attention to his works.

Rita Ora

Pop stars usually gain their stardom internationally and locally because of the vast number of pop lovers worldwide. But that’s not how gaining fame went for Rita Ora. Given that she was a massive success in Europe and the UK when she began, the rest of the world didn’t give her the needed accolades, which took a toll on her career.

Unfortunately for Rita, her record label ended her contract due to her career decline, but she’s still doing her best to stay in the spotlight. Hence she’s been appearing as a judge on the popular reality shows X Factor UK and Americas Next Top Model.

Remember that time when every other romantic comedy movie seemed to have Katherine Heigl in it? This was during the peak of her popularity, right around the time that she was still a cast member on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. So what happened exactly?

There were numerous reports of Katherine being a difficult person to deal with on the set of the series, and soon many of her castmates and the other people behind the scenes grew tired of her alleged attitude. Although she’s appeared in other projects since leaving Grey’s Anatomy, the actress never quite regained her footing.

 

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson

Better known to many as 50 Cent, Curtis Jackson was one of the most popular rappers for the longest time, starting from the 2000s. It seems like he said goodbye to music production and has been steadily robbed off of fame.

Well, Curtis didn’t go off without a fight as he tried to launch several businesses, from champagne to cognac and footwear, among others. While his efforts didn’t bear much fruit, one thing we will agree on is his music is quite the jam, and he should maybe consider getting back into the rap scene.

 

Jaden Smith

Jaden Smith grew up as a young celebrity as he was the son of the Bad Boys actor Will Smith. Jaden’s celebrity status started increasing when he entered the cinema world with Pursuit of Happiness and Karate Kid. His decline, however, began after his sci-fi After Earth which wasn’t much of a success.

Jaden stayed in the spotlight until his little sister’s Whip My Hair took the attention and fame from him. As if that wasn’t enough for the young star, the last straw for Jaden was his post on Twitter that sparked many theories due to his physical appearance in the tweet, attracting lots of hostility as well.

Britney Spears

One super hit song and Britney Spears was an overnight sensation of her generation. …Baby One More Time still echoes with those who have been fortunate enough to be her contemporary. Her high school attitude and music videos threw her under the limelight like a deer in front of headlights. Albums happened one after another, along with her eventual downfall.

Things went so bad that her fans were startled to find her divorcing her husband hours after the marriage, several public breakdowns, and even launching an attack at the paparazzi. Spears has been in and out of rehabilitation centers to get a grip on herself, and we hope for her speedy recovery.

Kristen Stewart

Everyone predicted that Kristen Stewart would be the most prominent actress in Hollywood after she headlined the Twilight saga. She did become very famous because of the movies, but somehow her star power dimmed just as quickly as some personal drama also changed public perception of her.

Kristen is still actively acting and has appeared in many films since the worldwide teen vampire romance phenomenon. But she wasn’t able to capitalize fully on the limelight that followed Twilight, and it’s unlikely she’ll get as big a break as that anytime soon.
