NCIS Stars Then & Now: See What A Difference 20 Years Can Make To These Celebs!

Ami Ciccone

Airing since 2003, "NCIS" is nearing its 20th anniversary on TV. And in that period, the famous CBS procedural show has welcomed a long list of stars in both guest and recurring roles. You might even be surprised by some of the names we've included in this compilation!

So, let's see how many of these 50 celebrities who've been part of the "NCIS" cast you'll be able to recognize from the role they played on the show. What's more, catch up with actors and actresses who left the series and find out what life's been like for them since.

Mark Harmon

What better way to start our list than with the show's main star Mark Harmon? Since the first season of "NCIS" aired in 2003, he's been portraying the character Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a special agent for the titular Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He's done a fantastic job, too, with the role earning him several award nominations.

Harmon continues to play Gibbs in the police procedural TV series in its 19th season, which aired in 2021. And we totally get why he's stayed on the show for so long. According to Hello! magazine, he receives an impressive per episode salary of $525K.

Sasha Alexander

Sasha Alexander has had many memorable roles on TV and in film. We've seen her in the hit teen show "Dawson's Creek" as well as the Jim Carrey comedy "Yes Man." Of course, there's also her two-season stint as former Secret Service agent Caitlin Todd on "NCIS."

Following her departure from the CBS show, Alexander expanded her acting resume starring in productions like the 2020 Netflix thriller "Dangerous Lies." She's also been busy building a family with her husband Edoardo Ponti, who is the son of actress Sophia Loren. The couple has two children together, who they are raising in Los Angeles.

Lauren Holly

Born in Pennsylvania to two professors, Lauren Holly chose to carve her own path in a totally different profession. She began her acting career in the '80s with a two-episode stint on "Hill Street Blues" following her graduation from Sarah Lawrence College. And it's safe to say she hasn't looked back since!

Holly notably portrayed director Jenny Shepard on "NCIS" in the mid-'00s. Although she told CBS that she struggled with the serious part given her background in comedy, she performed well for the three seasons she worked on the show. Since then, she's scored recurring roles in programs like "Designated Survivor" in 2019 and "Tiny Pretty Things" in 2020.

Sarah Jane Morris

Not to be confused with the singer of the same name, Sarah Jane Morris, is an actress best known for her work in the family drama "Brothers & Sisters." Longtime viewers of "NCIS" would recognize her better as Special Agent EJ Barrett, though, as she portrayed the role in the CBS show's eighth season.

Following the end of that stint, Morris went on to work on projects like the TV show "The Night Shift" and the 2019 movie "Less Than Zero." She's also been busy raising her family with her husband, Ned Brower, who is the vocalist of the rock band Rooney.

Jaime Murray

Jaime Murray began her entertainment career back home in the United Kingdom. However, she found herself moving across the pond after being cast in a recurring role for the Showtime series "Dexter." That big move certainly paid off as she went on to score more acting gigs, including a one-off stint on "NCIS" as Agent Julia Foster-Yates.

And if you're a fan of the DC comic books and their adaptations, then you'd also know Murray from her days playing Nyssa al Ghul on the TV show "Gotham" in 2019. An all-around talent, she's part of the voice cast of the animated show "Castlevania," which ended in 2021.

Troian Bellisario

Now, here's a name you likely didn't expect to see on this list. But yes, Troian Bellisario of "Pretty Little Liars" fame did appear in a guest role in two episodes of "NCIS." It really shouldn't be that big of a shock, though, with her father, Donald P. Bellisario, being the show's creator.

It seems like Troian is following in Donald's footsteps when it comes to producing for the screen, too. She produced the 2017 film "Feed" and directed a 2021 episode of the drama "Good Trouble." But when she's not busy acting in front of or working behind the camera, she's a doting mom to two children.

Kiara Muhammad

Kiara Muhammad is a relative newcomer compared to the actors we've talked about, but she's accomplished a lot in her years in Hollywood. Aside from her role as Kayla Vance on "NCIS," she's starred in the miniseries "The Doc Files" and even lent her voice to the animated show "Sofia The First."

It seems like Muhammad is taking things easy, though, as she transitions from a child star to a mature actress. Aside from playing minor roles in 2021 episodes of the TV shows "Dave" and "SWAT," she's been busy finishing her studies at the University of Southern California.

Joel Gretsch

Joel Gretsch's stint as Special Agent Stan Burley on "NCIS" only takes up a small portion of his decades-long career. Born and raised in Minnesota, he's been honing his craft since his days, taking acting classes at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. He began his journey to stardom with an appearance in the TV show "Freshman Dorm."

His other notable works include the main role in the sci-fi show "The 4400" and a recurring role in the supernatural drama "The Vampire Diaries." Gretsch has also starred in shorter features like the 2021 thriller "Chupacabra."

David McCallum

First gaining recognition in the '60s for "The Man from UNCLE, David McCallum was already a veteran performer when he took on the role of medical examiner Ducky Mallard on "NCIS." The three-time Emmy nominee has played the part since 2003, with his name continuing to appear in the show's credits in its 19th season in 2021.

It's also worth noting that McCallum has made appearances in the spin-off "NCIS: New Orleans" and even lent his voice for the "NCIS" video game. Speaking of his voice acting work, you might also recognize him as Professor Paradox from the "Ben 10" animated show franchise.

Joe Spano

Another longtime actor to make the "NCIS" cast is Joe Spano, who plays FBI agent Tobias Fornell. He's been acting since the '70s and has even bagged an Emmy Award for his guest acting stint on the NBC drama "Midnight Caller." You might also remember him from films like "Apollo 13" and "American Graffiti."

Spano occasionally appears on "NCIS," starring in a couple of episodes of the show's 18th season in 2020 and 2021. We reckon this arrangement gives him more time to spend with his wife Joan Zerrien, with whom he shares two daughters through adoption.

Jennifer Esposito

Jennifer Esposito knows a thing or two about portraying agents of the state. For starters, she starred as Special Agent Alex Quinn on "NCIS" for one season. Then she portrayed a CIA agent on the Amazon Prime Video series "The Boys," whose second season arrived on the streaming platform in 2020.

Acting isn't the only creative venture Esposito has gone into, though. She's a published author with works like the memoir "Jennifer's Way" and a recipe book of a similar title. She's also been busy with a project called "A Rebellious Act," which seeks to tell inclusive stories and change the entertainment industry for the better.

Scottie Thompson

Beginning her entertainment career as a dancer, Scottie Thompson ultimately decided to hang up her ballet shoes to pursue acting. That led her to land minor TV roles before being cast as Jeannie Benoit on "NCIS," playing the character for over a decade from 2006 to 2016.

TV viewers might also remember Thompson from her time on the Syfy series "12 Monkey", where she played a time traveler named Vivian Rutledge. Of course, her body of work also includes several big-screen productions, including the 2021 thriller film "Murder At Emigrant Gulch."

Tamara Taylor

Tamara Taylor only made a two-episode guest appearance as Agent Cassie Yates on "NCIS," but that plus her stint on the crime procedural "Bones" were enough to let her talent shine. In 2021, it was announced that she was picked to lead the cast of the spin-off show "Law & Order: Organized Crime," which premiered in the same year.

Safe to say, Taylor has come a long way since she first garnered attention in the '90s. Even more impressive is how she overcame her shyness to succeed. Speaking with Inc. magazine, she shared that she earned the courage to start taking acting classes after her best friend participated in a show.

Alicia Coppola

Although she shares the same surname as the famous film clan, Alicia Coppola isn't related to filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola as Entertainment Weekly clarified in an online article. That doesn't mean Alicia doesn't have talent, though. Her acting skills landed her not just one but two roles in the "NCIS" franchise.

She appeared as Lieutenant Commander Faith Coleman on the original series and then an FBI agent Lisa Rand on "NCIS: Los Angeles." Alicia continued her successful small-screen career with a recurring role on the HBO series "Generation," which was unfortunately canceled after a season in 2021.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Now, here's a name you probably didn't expect to see on this list. A famous scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis is best known for her work in the slasher genre. She reprised her role as the protagonist Laurie Strode for the "Halloween" franchise's 12th installment in 2021.

Before that, though, she landed a role on "NCIS" playing psychological operations head Samantha Ryan, who was a romantic interest for Mark Harmon's character. It's worth noting that Curtis and Harmon were previously paired up in the 2003 film "Freaky Friday" prior to their small-screen meet-up. That said, we're not shocked by their amazing chemistry!

Daniela Ruah

After scoring a two-episode stint as Agent Kensi Blye on "NCIS," Daniela Ruah earned a spot as a series regular on "NCIS: Los Angeles." She's been playing the part since 2009 and continues to do so in 2021, as the show aired its 12th season.

Ruah's creative pursuits aren't limited to the crime investigation scene, though. She notably co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 alongside the likes of singer Nelly Furtado. A graduate of London Metropolitan University, where she studied the performing arts, she's also appeared on stage in a play called "Proof."

Brian Dietzen

To "NCIS" fans, actor Brian Dietzen needs no introductions. He's been a part of the CBS show's cast since 2003, playing the doctor and medical examiner Jimmy Palmer. He was officially promoted to a main cast member during the series' tenth season in 2013 and remains one in 2021.

Although now most associated with the white lab coat and eyeglasses he wears on "NCIS," Dietzen has taken on other notable personas during his long career in show business. Remember him as the geek Eddie in the Kelly Clarkson musical film "From Justin To Kelly"?

Jessica Steen

Jessica Steen has starred in her fair share of popular films, from "Armageddon" to "Chaos," but small-screen work remains her bread and butter as an actress. Since 2003, she's appeared in several episodes as Agent Paula Cassidy on "NCIS." You might also recognize her from her stint on the action-drama TV series "Flashpoint."

However, it's her role as the globe-trotting horse breeder Lisa Stillman on "Heartland" that's keeping her busy in 2021. She first appeared on the long-running Canadian TV series in 2007 in a guest role, which turned into a recurring one over the years.

Linda Hunt

Linda Hunt is another acting heavyweight to be part of the "NCIS" franchise. An Oscar-winning actress for the film "The Year Of Living Dangerously," she has been starring as the operations manager Hetty Lange on "NCIS: Los Angeles" since 2009 and continues to do so in 2021.

Known for her distinct look of a blunt bob hairstyle and glasses, Hunt has often been compared to the animated character Edna Mode. It's worth noting, though, that she had sported the same style even before "The Incredibles" star came into the scene. You can see Hunt's signature look in '90s films like "The Relic."

Weronika Rosati

Actress Weronika Rosati may not be a household name in the United States but has a pretty impressive acting resume in Poland, where she was born to the famed fashion designer Teresa Rosato. There, she's known for her work in acclaimed films like "Oblawa" and "Never Gonna Snow Again."

Meanwhile, loyal "NCIS" viewers might have spotted her in an episode called "Berlin" in 2013 and again on "NCIS: Los Angeles" in 2021. Weronika continues to impress filmgoers with her versatility, starring as the late silver screen icon Elizabeth Taylor in the film "Brigitte Bardot Forever."

LaMonica Garrett

Former pro Slamball player LaMonica Garrett is another performer who played two roles in the "NCIS" franchise. He first starred in the original series as a Marine captain before being cast again for "NCIS: Los Angeles" in a one-off role as Michael Williams.

While it's likely easy to miss him in those prior stints, you'll remember him if you saw Garrett in other shows like "Sons Of Anarchy" and "Designated Survivor." He has also landed a recurring role as Mar Novu from 2018 to 2020 in the DC Comics adaptations "Arrow" and "Legends Of Tomorrow."

Sarai Givaty

A singer and actress, Sarai Givaty first gained international attention in a thriller film called "The Passage," which was featured at the Toronto International Film Festival. That opportunity opened more doors for her in Hollywood, eventually landing her a guest role on "NCIS." Givaty starred as an intelligence office liaison in a two-episode story arc in 2010.

Following that, she was cast for a role in "The Expendables 3" and headlined a film called "Body Of Deceit." She hasn't acted in a full-length feature or TV series since 2017, as she appears to be focusing on her music career, notably performing for Israel's Ynet News in 2021.

Christopher Maher

Christopher Maher knows a thing or two about pursuing one's passions—all while excelling at everything he does! Set initially on pursuing medicine, he switched to acting, finding work in various productions from soap operas to films. He even played a small role on "NCIS" as Captain Aris Mahir in the mid-'00s.

The "Mannequin" star has since moved on to a different pursuit, though, to become a chef. Speaking with the people behind Taos, New Mexico's town webpage, Maher shared that he makes a living being behind the stove or in front of the camera. His culinary work was featured in the PBS show "Moveable Feast With Relish" in 2020.

Enzo Cilenti

Enzo Cilenti has been in the game since the late '90s, so we bet you've seen him once or twice even without realizing it. He has appeared as Mamoun Sharif, a villainous character, on "NCIS." What's more, he portrayed one of the slavers in HBO's hit series "Game Of Thrones."

His reputation as a talented character actor has also landed him a role in the third season of the show "The Girlfriend Experience" in 2021. And it looks like Cilenti's personal life is thriving just as much as his professional one. He has been married to "Resident Evil" actress Sienna Guillory, with whom he shares twin daughters, since the early '00s.

Francesco Quinn

Being the son of Oscar-winning actor Anthony Quinn, it's no surprise that the late Franceso Quinn also entered show business. He even acted alongside his famous father in productions like the miniseries "The Old Man And The Sea," wherein they played the younger and older versions of the same character.

It's also worth noting that Francesco played two minor roles on "NCIS" in the mid-'00s. However, among his final works is a voice credit in 2011 for the blockbuster film "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon." He passed away in the same year leaving behind two children.

Billy Dee Williams

Billy Dee Williams cemented his place in entertainment history thanks to his portrayal of Han Solo's trusty friend Lando Calrissian in the "Star Wars" franchise. But not one to rest on his laurels, he continues to expand his acting resume starring minor roles on shows like "NCIS," where he played war veteran Leroy Jethro Moore.

It's been a while since we saw him as Lando on the big screen. However, he brought his character to life in 2020 for "The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special" TV movie. Williams has also been busy working on his wellness, it seems, judging from the Instagram posts of him working with celebrity personal trainer Gunnar Paterson.

Bruce Boxleitner

With his background in the sci-fi genre, Bruce Boxleitner's venture into publishing fantasy books like "Frontier Earth" comes as no surprise. As an actor, he's best known for his work as the titular character in the "Tron" films and the space opera "Babylon 5".

Boxleitner also appeared on two episodes of "NCIS" in 2010 and 2017, respectively, portraying a high-ranking Nacy admiral named C. Clifford Chase. The Saturn Award nominee then went on to work in the Hallmark film series "Matchmaker Mysteries," appearing in its 2021 installment subtitled "The Art of The Kill."

James Morrison

Not to be mistaken for the singer of the same name, James Morrison is an actor perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of "24" counter-terrorism boss Bill Buchanan. He also had a brief stint as a senator in an episode of "NCIS" in 2017.

Still acting in productions like the horror film "Intersect" in 2020, Morrison has also forged a career as a yoga class instructor on the side. He earned his certification from the White Lotus Foundation and taught at Los Angeles' Center for Yoga for almost a decade, according to his official website.

Johann Urb

Johann Urb is another actor who has proven his talents in various areas. Initially pursuing a career in modeling, he shifted his sights to acting, initially landing small roles in films like "Zoolander" and the short feature "Fear Of Feathers." Things began looking up for him after appearing in "The Hottie & The Nottie" in 2008.

Urb, who is also a coach of a technique called the Pyramid Breath Method, went on to star as park police officer Roger Burt Moore on "NCIS" in 2014. You might have also seen his face in later works, including the 2020 action horror film "Breach" that also starred Bruce Willis.

Adam Campbell

Adam Campbell's name might not immediately ring a bell, but seeing his face would clue you in on his expansive filmography in the comedy genre. He has worked on popular sitcoms like "Great News" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," for starters. He's also made appearances in the films "The Five-Year Engagement" and "Epic Movie."

Campbell then briefly entered the world of "NCIS" to play the younger version of Ducky Mallard in various episodes, including one aired in 2020. With his talent and likable screen presence, we can see why his wife, "Glee" star Jayma Mays, fell for him!

Ethan Rains

Ethan Rains, who appears to be going by his birth name Iman Nazemzadeh on his IMDB and Instagram pages, carved his path in show business acting in various TV shows. He played two different roles on "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" as IT admin Kevin and Mack, respectively.

However, he had a more substantial role on "General Hospital: Night Shift," a spin-off of the daytime soap opera of a similar title. Showing his range, he acted in the music video for the song "Home To" in 2021 alongside modeling sensation Mahlagha Jaberi.

Rebecca Wisocky

Most known for her roles in many TV dramas, Rebecca Wisocky, has appeared in all three "NCIS" shows as three different characters. Further testament to her acting chops is her performance as one of the main players, the socialite Evelyn Powell, in the Lifetime series "Devious Maids."

A graduate of New York University's Experimental Theatre Wing, she's been honing her craft since she was a girl. And it seems like Wisocky has no plans of stopping anytime soon. You can watch her try her hand at comedy as she stars in the BBC One sitcom "Ghosts" in 2021.

Colin Hanks

With their undeniable resemblance and similar last names, Colin Hanks can't hide being "Forrest Gump" actor Tom Hanks' son. Colin has been hard at work to prove himself a capable actor in his own right, though. Remember him as Anna Faris' charming love interest in "The House Bunny"?

We reckon his performance as investigator Richard Parsons in three episodes of "NCIS" also introduced him to another segment of viewers. Safe to say, he's moved on to bag meatier roles, including one on the critically-acclaimed TV series "Fargo." Colin notably portrayed the real-life lawyer Mike Emmick on the 2021 show "American Crime Story: Impeachment."

Jack Conley

Looking at actor Jack Conley's acting resume, it seems like he's got a knack for working on projects in the thriller and crime genres. Among his most notable works are "The Purge: Anarchy" and "Fast & Furious." That said, we weren't shocked to find out that he also had an "NCIS" stint.

In three episodes spread across several years, Conley portrayed Detective Danny Sportelli on the CBS show. Unfortunately, we can't find much about his background to explain why he chooses the kind of projects he does. However, that won't stop us from admiring his authoritative screen presence, as he stars in "9-1-1: Lone Star" in 2021.

Don Franklin

Don Franklin popped up on everyone's radar as part of the sci-fi TV shows "SeaQuest DSV" (later called "SeaQuest 2032") and "Seven Days" in the '90s. The decade that followed saw him take on minor small-screen roles, including ones on "NCIS" as Agent Ron Slacks and on "NCIS: Los Angeles" as Captain Alan Beck.

Fortunately, his career has picked up once again since as he scored a recurring part in the critically-acclaimed HBO show "Insecure." Franklin has been portraying the character Malcolm since 2017 and continued to do so until the series' fourth season in 2020.

Michael Weatherly

Every "NCIS" fan knows who Michael Weatherly is, especially his character Anthony DiNozzo, a charismatic senior field agent. That said, many loyal viewers were saddened when the Saturn Award-nominated actor left his post during the show's 13th season in 2016.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Weatherly shared that he left "NCIS" because he wanted a new challenge—and that's exactly what he found next. He moved on to lead the cast of the CBS show "Bull" as the titular Jason Bull, a psychologist specializing in trial science. He continues to do so as the legal drama airs its sixth season in 2021.

Sean Murray

You can say Sean Murray was destined to land a role on "NCIS" from birth. According to Fame10, he was born to a naval officer father at the Bethesda Navy Hospital. Murray then portrayed Timothy McGee, a senior field agent working for the Washington DC Navy Yard in the CBS show.

He won the part in 2003 and carried on to play it in the 19th "NCIS" season in 2021. And it doesn't seem like he has plans of leaving soon. Speaking with the Chicago Tribune, Murray said that the kind of job security he enjoys is rare and shared how his character grew over time.

Rafi Silver

Rafi Silver is not yet a household name in show business, but we don't doubt he'll get there someday! A graduate of New York University's graduate acting program, he's got the tools to make things happen. His brief but memorable stint on "NCIS" proves that.

In four episodes from 2015 to 2017, Silver portrayed the translator Qasim Naasir, who was also the love interest of actress Emily Wickersham's character but was ultimately killed off the show. Last we heard, he was working as a freelance actor and writer as he stars in NBC's supernatural TV series "Manifest" in 2020.

Adam Croasdell

Since he made his debut in the late '90s, Adam Croasdell has had a moderately successful career in the United Kingdom and the United States. A multitalented performer, he's done on stage, on screen, and voice acting work. He even starred in three episodes of "NCIS" playing the young Angus Clarke, Ducky Mallard's childhood friend.

Meanwhile, animated show fans might recognize Croasdell, particularly his distinct voice, better from his stint in series like "Castlevania" in 2018 and "Blood Of Zeus" in 2020. He's also ventured into the world of streaming TV with a minor role in Hulu's "Pam & Tommy" miniseries.

Scott Wolf

With a name as catchy as Scott Wolf and the talent to match, the "Party Of Five" star is hard to miss. So we bet he left a lasting mark on "NCIS" fans despite his brief stint as the notorious Agent Casey Stratton on the show in the early 2010s.

Since then, Wolf has bagged more prominent parts in other TV shows like "The Night Shift," where he portrayed trauma surgeon Scott Clemens for four seasons. In 2019, he was cast in the CBS-produced "Nancy Drew" series, continuing to star in its third season in 2021.

Salli Richardson-Whitfield

Salli Richardson-Whitfield has starred in her fair share of blockbuster hits alongside A-listers. We've seen her go head to head against the titular snake in the film "Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid" and appear opposite Will Smith in "I Am Legend."

She also played a small part as former FBI agent Carrie Clark on "NCIS." Richardson-Whitfield wasn't content working in front of the camera, though. She's also tried her hand at directing, helming two episodes of the cyberpunk show "Altered Carbon" in 2020. We heard she signed a directing deal with HBO in the same year, too.

Enrique Murciano

Enrique Murciano was on his way to becoming a lawyer when he seemingly had a change of heart and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. It proved to be all worth it in the long run. Following his film debut in "Speed 2:Cruise Control", he bagged roles in shows like the CBS series "Without A Trace."

And speaking of the popular network, Murciano also had a minor role as CIA operative Ray Cruz in its popular program "NCIS." That stint pales in comparison, though, compared to his more substantial part as a sheriff in the Amazon Prime Video show "Panic" in 2021.

Patrick Labyorteaux

As a child actor, Patrick Labyorteaux endeared himself to TV viewers starring as Andy Garvey in the hit drama "Little House On A Prairie." It seems nothing much has changed, though, because he continued to be well-liked as he portrayed Bud Roberts in both "JAG" and "NCIS" as an adult.

Labyorteaux appears to be scaling back on his on-screen work, with his latest credit being a TV movie called "Rent-An-Elf" in 2018. We reckon he's using his free time to bond with his wife of over two decades Tina Albanese, who once worked as a set designer.

Kelli Williams

With Kelli Williams being a graduate of the famed Beverly Hills High School, it's no shock that she found fame, too. She's perhaps best remembered for her work as deception expert Gillian Foster in "Lie To Me" and as a law firm associate in "The Practice."

Following her apparent preference for procedural shows, Williams also had a small part as a special agent on two episodes of "NCIS." In contrast, her role in Paramount+'s 2021 TV series "Coyote" seems to be meatier as she appeared in almost all of the show's six episodes.

Jonathan LaPaglia

Jonathan LaPaglia has portrayed his fair share of state agents on the small screen. For starters, he gained recognition as CIA operative Frank Parker on "Seven Days" in the late '90s. He then went on to play Agent Brent Langer in three episodes of "NCIS."

LaPaglia has seemingly undergone a career shift since those days, though. The Saturn Award nominee hosts "Australian Survivor," presenting the reality TV show's brains vs. brawns season in 2021. He even traveled to tropical destinations like Fiji and Samoa to film for the program in the past.

Emily Wickersham

Emily Wickersham got her big break thanks to an initial three-episode arc on "NCIS" in 2013. She was promoted to a cast regular, playing NSA analyst Ellie Bishop, in the same year. Her time there has ended, though, as Wickersham confirmed her exit from the CBS show in 2021.

Writing on Instagram, she praised all the people she worked with on "NCIS" and expressed gratitude for the opportunity she was given. It's worth noting that Wickersham hasn't appeared in any other role since she starred in the film "Glitch." Still, we wish her all the best as she embarks on a new chapter of her career!

Liza Lapira

An actress since the late '90s, Liza Lapira, has already proven her on-screen range. She excelled in a comedic role in the sitcom "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" and proved her serious acting chops as Agent Michelle Lee on "NCIS." Lapira is not done yet, though.

The year 2021 saw her star in two high-profile shows, including the crime drama "The Equalizer" and "Nancy Drew," a series based on the popular mystery books by Carolyn Keene. But even with a fully booked schedule, Lapira still manages to make life fun bonding with her family and pet dog.

Rena Sofer

Initially going into modeling, Rena Sofer made her small-screen debut in the NBC soap opera "Another World" and never looked back. Decades later and it seems like her career has gone full circle, with her having a leading role in another soap, "The Bold And The Beautiful," in 2021.

Before that, though, Sofer booked her fair share of TV and movie gigs, including one as an attorney in six episodes of "NCIS." Some filmgoers might also remember her from acting alongside Ben Stiller in the film "Keeping The Faith" or when she co-starred with Melanie Griffith in the crime drama "A Stranger Among Us."

Pauley Perrette

Along with Mark Harmon, actress Pauley Perrette is probably among the most recognizable stars of "NCIS." For 15 seasons, she played forensic scientist Abby Scuito and even committed to using hair dye to get the character's trademark black tresses. That's why many were saddened when Perrette bowed out of the CBS show in 2018.

She then starred in a lead role in the 2020 sitcom "Broke," which was unfortunately canceled after one season. Perette made another surprising decision, retiring from acting in the same year. However, the good news is that she's practically set for life with her $22 million fortune.

Cote de Pablo

Another "NCIS" cast member who has tendered her resignation is Cote de Pablo. She first departed the show in 2013 only finishing her character Ziva David's arc. However, she made a surprise return six years later and reprised her role until 2020.

Speaking with TV Guide, de Pablo said that it was her personal choice to leave the first time around. She then shared in a later Q&A, which was posted on YouTube, that she didn't like how Ziva was being treated and that she'd only go back if her character was given fantastic material to work with.
