Celebrities all have their millions, if not billions, in the bank already. They have no reason to marry for money. So when they start a relationship and there is a huge age gap between the couple, it has nothing to do with money. So what could it be about?

Maybe it's a midlife crisis or a career move. Sometimes it's actually just plain old true love. Whatever it is, some of these relationships have caused a stir, while others have been deemed acceptable. Whatever the case may be, here are relationships that are withstanding a different test of time.

Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin - 13 Years

Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were already on-screen lovers when they decided to pursue a relationship for real. It was right after shooting the pilot episode of "True Blood" that they fell for each other. You'll find that this is a common theme in this story, with this one proving unique for how quickly it happened.

They started dating in 2007, shortly after the pilot finished. There are 13-years between them but they appeared to navigate that well for three years and eventually got married in 2010. They have a set of twins. In 2021 Paquin featured in an episode of "Modern Love."

Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey - 13 Years

When Matthey McConaughey met Camila Alves, she didn't have a clue who he was. But that appeared to just spur McConaughey on, and he relentlessly pursued the former Victoria's Secret model. There must have been something about a younger person not knowing him that drove him.

They started dating in 2006, and in 2008 had their first child. The Oscar-winning actor only married Alves in 2012 though, after two more kids were born. There are rumors that McConaughey wanted to run for Governor of Texas. What isn't a rumor is him starring in Sing 2 in 2021.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham - 20 Years

Jason Statham is in pretty decent shape. In fact, if it wasn't for his bald spot and greying facial hair, he could probably pass as the same age as his partner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Be that as it may, he is 20 years her senior, although why seem to be quite the enduring couple.

They met in 2010 while attending the Coachella festival that year. They started dating that same year and have been engaged since 2016. They have one child together. Statham starred in the 2021 film "Wrath of Man," and also had an uncredited role in "F9: The Fast Saga"

Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson - 23 Years

Aaron Taylor Thompson is pretty well represented in the superhero film genre. He is noted for his role in the film "Kick ^ss" and its sequel, and also had a part in "Avenger: Age Of Ultron." But it was in a movie called "Nowhere Boy" that he struck gold.

That's because he met his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, who was directing the film. They courted some controversy because of their 23 year age gap, but also because he was a teenager at the time their relationship started. But they married in 2012 and even took each other's surnames (hence the double barrel). Aaron had a role in the 2021 series "Calls."

David Tennant & Georgia Moffett - 13 Years

David Tennant gained Hollywood fame for his role as Kilgrave in the MCU series "Jessica Jones." But before then he was famous in the UK for playing the 10th doctor in the series "Doctor Who." As Kilgrave he was a bit of an obsessive ex-boyfriend.

We're not sure how obsessive he is about his wife Georgia, but he made it clear that they don't talk about their age gap. So we're going to do it for them and start with the fact that it's 13 years... and there's nothing else to say about it. They also have five children. In 2021 Tennant did voice work for "The Loud House Movie."

Emilie Livingston and Jeff Goldblum - 31 Years

Gray hair is such an age demon. If it wasn't for Grey Hair, Jeff Goldblum would still look at peak "Independence Day," even when he starred in "Thor Ragnarok." Maybe his wife Emilie Livingston fell for his youthful exuberance because it's unlikely she knew he was 31 years older than her when they met.

Of course, age is nothing but a number, and the actress and retired Olympic gymnast appear to be going strong, completely infatuated with each other. They even share two children, who would be happy to know their father is voicing one of the characters in 2021's "Sing."

Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch - 25 Years

Jerry Hall is renowned for being the long-time girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Rupert Murdock meanwhile has been around the block a few times, having been married four times in his life. But it appears that both of them are coming in with experience and making this marriage work.

For Murdoch, it appears to be the fourth time the charm since he and Hall tied the knot in 2016. This was just a year after they appeared in public for the first time at the Rugby World Cup in 2015. They are hardly seen out in public, with Murdoch remaining indoors.

Matt Bomer and Simon Halls - 13 Years

The world was in shock when news broke that Matt Bomer married his publicist Simon Halls in 2011. This was mostly because, until the announcement, no one knew that Bomer was gay. This secret endured until he mentioned Halls in an acceptance speech.

Yet even after that reveal, they still kept their marriage under wraps until 2014, when they went public with it. They also have three children, which includes a set of twins, birthed via surrogacy. In 2021 Bomer starred in the popular series "Doom Patrol" and also did some voice work for him on the film "Justice Society: World War II."

Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan - 16 Years

These days Jeffrey Dean Morgan is probably best known for playing Negan, one of the most divisive characters in "The Walking Dead." But before that, he was known for playing John Winchester in "Supernatural." During this time he worked with Jensen Ackles. And it was thanks to Ackles that he met his wife, Hilarie Burton.

Apparently, they hit it off instantly. But we'll never know if it would have been the same had they met normally since Morgan is 16 years older than Burton. They started dating in 2009 and eventually married 10 years later. They have two children. Morgan starred in the 2021 film "The Unholy."

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart - 22 Years

Harrison Ford is one of those men that the ladies love no matter what his age. Case in point? His current wife, Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart. Despite their 22 year age gap, she was instantly smitten with Ford when they met at the 2002 Golden Globe awards.

They didn't marry straight away though, and dating for eight years before eventually tying the knot in 2010. They have one son, adopted by Flockhart before she and Ford married, and live between an 800 acre Ranch in Wyoming and a Brentwood mansion in California. Ford presented an award at the 2021 Oscars.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones - 25 Years

According to Catherine Zeta-Jones, she was infatuated with Michael Douglas from the day they met on Holiday in France. In fact, she says all he said to her was that he wanted to father her children, and she was hooked. This was despite the 25 year age gap between them.

They married in 2000 and used to be prominent in the media. But they have since become less prominent and private, and also have two children together, just as Douglas promised he wanted. In 2021 Zeta-Jones starred in a series called Prodigal Son. Douglas also had a role in a series from 2018 to 2021 called The Kominsky Method.

Hayley Roberts and David Hasselhoff - 27 Years

David Hasselhoff is a living legend, forever immortalized for his roles as Michael Knight in "Knight Rider" and Mitch Buchanon in "Baywatch". This legendary status has also made him a hit with the ladies, and judging by the young English woman on his arm, this includes the younger generation.

He is married to Hayley Robert, a young woman 27 years his junior. At least she is still older than his two daughters, Taylor and Hayley, and was a mature 38 when she and Hasselhof tied the knot in 2018. The Hof meanwhile appeared in a 2021 episode of Young Sheldon as himself.

Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell - 38 Years

The rule of half plus seven is a "scientific" method used to determine whether an age gap in a couple is acceptable or not. You half your age and add seven to that number, if your partner's age is the same or higher than the answer, you're safe. Sir Patrick Stewart is cutting it pretty close with that.

He is married to Sunny Ozell, who is 38 years his junior. He is seven years younger than Ozell's father, who wasn't initially impressed with Stewart. But he came around and calls the "X-Men" star son. He is also known for playing Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek, A role he returned to in 2020.

Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster - 26 Years

Rod Stewart is renowned for hits like "Da Ya Think I’m Se^y" and "You're In My Heart." We wonder if it was those kinds of songs that made Penny Lancaster fall for Stewart. They met when she was still a photography student, and eventually got married in 2007.

Stewart is 26 years older than her, although Lancaster has admitted that she always wanted to be married to an older man. Both appear to have gotten something they wanted, and also share two children of their own, to go with Stewart's six other children. In 2021 he was listed as the 12th richest music personality in Britain by The Sunday Times.

Alicia Vikander & Michael Fassbender - 11 Years

while Michael Fassbender might be 11 years older than his wife Alicia Vikander, but she is ahead of him in one other way. She won an Oscar for her role in "The Danish Girl." Not that Fassbender hasn't come close, as he earned a nomination for his role in "12 Years a Slave"

For them, it all started in 2016 when they worked together on a film called "The Light Between Oceans." They started dating then and eventually married a year later in 2017. They currently live in Lisbon, Portugal, and in 2021 had their first child together. Vikander has a role in the 2021 film "The Green Knight."

Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom - 8 Years

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are one of the most endearing couples in the gossip columns. They have been together since 2016, and both came into the relationship off the back of divorce: Perry from her marriage to British comedian Russel Brand, and Bloom from American actress Miranda Kerr.

They have been going strong, and even survived the 2020 lockdown living together, with Perry pregnant. She had her moments though, and it was reported that she would cry in her car often due to her emotional state. Their daughter was born in August 2020. Bloom starred in the 2021 series "The Prince."

Amal and George Clooney - 17 Years

There must be a lot of women out there, both celebrity and regular, who must be upset that George Clooney is spoken for. The dreamboat from series like "ER" and films like "Ocean's Eleven," is loved for his mature charm and rugged looks. What's surprising, is that he didn't marry a celebrity.

Instead, he married a barrister, Amal Alamuddin, who is famous for representing the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange. He is 17 years older than her, although none of that appears to matter since they have been going strong since 2014 and share a pair of fraternal twins. In 2021 Clooney appeared in an episode of "Red Table Talk."

Zach Braff and Florence Pugh - 21 Years

Zach Braff gained worldwide acclaim for playing J.D. in the ever-popular comedy series "Scrubs." But while that show paid the bills, Braff was also exploring his art as a producer and director. One film he directed was called In the Time it Takes to Get There, and starred his girlfriend Florence Pugh.

This was the first time they worked with each other and hit it off despite their 21 year age gap. They live together but have no children, while Pugh has been making career strides, starring films like Lady Macbeth. In 2021 Pugh had a role in "Black Widow."

Bruce Willis and Emma Heming - 23 Years

Bruce Willis was so smitten by model and actress Emma Heming that he married her twice. Okay so the first wedding was non-legal, but still, it's the principle of the matter that he made sure he did it right. He probably deserves it too, considering how long he took to settle after divorcing Demi Moore.

Before Heming, who is 23 years his junior, he was engaged to actress Brooke Burns. But he eventually, and officially tied the knot with Emma in Beverley Hills and they have two daughters. Willis has been busy in 2021 with starring roles in films like "Midnight in the Switchgrass," "Cosmic Sin" and "Out of Death."

Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Trogneux - 25 Years

The current president of France is a bit of a rebel. He was just 15 when he met his wife Brigitte, who at the time was his teacher. His parents tried to send him to Paris for schooling to separate them, but all he did was wait it out, and when he returned continued pursuing the relationship.

He is 25 years younger than her, but they seem to see eye to eye. Some even believe that she was important to his presidential campaign in 2017, helping him with his public speaking. The couple shares no children of their own, although Brigitte has three children from a previous marriage.

Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick - 44 Years

Mick Jagger is the epitome of the saying, "a rolling stone gathers no moss." Not only is he a member of The Rolling Stones, but he is also still a spring chicken despite his six-decade career. He must still feel he has a lot to offer women since he is dating Melanie Hamrick, an American ballet dancer.

The age gap between them is 44 years, but Jagger has proven he isn't a slouch and, in 2016, aged 73, he and Hamrick had a child together. Jagger of course has seven other children from his previous relationships. In 2021 Jagger and The Stones released a new single called Eazy Sleazy.

Peter Cook and Alba Jancou - 44 Years

There is nearly half a decade between Peter Cook and Alba Jancou, but they appear to be going just fine, at least according to this photo. Cook is of course famous for being the husband of famous model Christie Brinkley, with whom he has a daughter named Sailor.

Sailor is ironically also a famous model, and the same age as Jancou, who was a student when she met Cook. Cook and Jancou got engaged in 2017 after dating for about a year, and have yet to set anything in stone regarding a wedding date.

Penny Smith and  Vince Leigh - 10 Years

The English TV/radio host Penny Smith doesn't pay much attention to other people's thoughts. In October 2021, she made headlines in the Daily Mail after revealing she has not weighed herself since she was 19 years old! She's also not worried about the fact her partner Vince Leigh is ten years younger than she is.

Proving that age is but a number, Smith and Leigh have been happily together since September 2001. An actor from the United Kingdom, Leigh was last seen in a 2021 episode of the TV series "McDonald & Dodds."

Jimmy Page and Scarlett Sabet - 45 Years

Jimmy Page is renowned as the man who took The New Yardbirds and turned them into Led Zeppelin. He was the driving force behind the guitar sound that made the band tick and also wrote most of the band's music too. He is also a producer and famously produced a Spoken Word album by poet Scarlett Sabet in 2019.

That wasn't their first interaction though and they have been dating since 2014. The relationship is kept private, although Sabet revealed in an interview with GQ that she and Page lived close to one another, and therefore always ran into each other a lot. 

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo - 10 Years

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is a big hit with the ladies. This is why most of his fans believe that model Anne Vyalitsyna was crazy to break up with him. But her loss was Behati Prinsloo's gain, and all those fans who said Vyalitsyna was crazy, are back to being jealous about Prinsloo.

There's a 10-year gap between Prinsloo, a former Victoria's Secret Angel, and Levine, a former coach on The Voice. But they don't look it, with the "Moves Like Jagger" singer continuing to maintain a youthful appearance. They married in 2014 and have two children. In 2021 Maroon 5 released an album called "Jordi."

Elton John and David Furnish - 16 Years

Elton John is a boss. Not only has he been churning out musical hits since 1962, but he only allowed everyone to officially call him gay in 1992. This despite him making it clear since 1976 that he'd had gay encounters. We suppose the fact that he had relationships with men and women helped him keep it under wraps.

But it wasn't long after he came out that he met his partner David Furnish. This was 1993 and they eventually formed a civil partnership in 2005. They went all the way and got married, and have two children together. John released a new album called "The Lockdown Sessions" in 2021.

Amber Tamblyn and David Cross - 19 Years

Love is a strange thing. We think we know all about it, but then you run into couples like Amber Tamblyn and David Cross. One is a luscious redhead at the peak of her youth who starred in "General Hospital" and "Joan of Arcadia." The other is a balding veteran who has had roles in "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "Pitch Perfect 2."

Yet here they are, married since 2012 and with their first child born in 2017. There appears to be no sign that a 19 year age gap even exists between them, except of course for their differing hair color. Cross starred in a 2021 series called "Genius."

Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor - 32 Years

One of the most common questions people have about couples with huge age gaps is, "what could they possibly have in common?" It turns out there are a great many things, just take Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor as an example. Both of them are accomplished actresses with Primetime Emmy Awards under their belts.

They're both also loaded, with a combined net worth of $30 million. Both of them are also pretty busy too. In 2021 Poulson has had roles in new seasons of "American Crime Story" and "American Horror Story." Taylor's 2021 meanwhile consisted of "The Chair" and "The Morning Show."

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith - 10 Years

As James Bond, Pierce Brosnan is one of the most charming people in showbiz. He also pulls it off convincingly. But in reality, he is a one-woman man, and the only reason he even married twice was that his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, passed away.

His second marriage, to former TV host and journalist Keely Shaye Smith, has been going strong. They met in Mexico in 1994 and hit it off, eventually dating until 2001 when they married. They share two sons. In 2021 Brosnan starred in the horror film "False Positive" and he also has a role in Cinderella.

Warren Beatty and Annette Bening - 21 Years

Warren Beatty may come across as a sweet old man, but in his heyday, he was quite the lady's man. In fact, he has a long list of female partners that is rumored to number in the 100s. That all ground to a halt when he met actress Annette Bening, whose attention he has been vying for ever since.

What's most amazing is that, despite his reputation, Bening has held her own with Beatty, despite the massive 21-year age gap between them. They got married in 1992 and have four children together. Bening appeared in an episode of "Stars in the House" in 2021.

Leila George and Sean Penn - 31 Years

Sean Penn has come off the back of some pretty big-time relationships. This includes marriages with Madonna and a very messy nuptial experience with Robin Wright that included several divorce filings by both of them. He also dated Charlize Theron for a while, but that didn't work out either.

But he appears to be going pretty strong with Australian-American actress Leila George. She is 31 years younger than him, and they started dating in 2016, eventually marrying in 2020. In 2021 Penn had a role in the series "Gaslit," while George had a role in "Animal Kingdom."

Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh - 17 Years

Peter André gained a lot of his fame thanks to his relationship with Katie Price. They met on "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!," got married, and even released a musical album together. But they divorced in 2009, and Andre started dating a medical named student Emily MacDonagh.

They started dating in 2012 but met in 2010. It appears that their 17 year age gap doesn't bother either of them and Emily has been quoted by OK Magazine say that she thought age is just a number and that compatibility is much more important. In 2021 André returned to the studio to record music.

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger - 10 Years

Chris Pratt may be a Hollywood powerhouse with his glut of big-time MCU movies and the "Jurassic World" franchise. But his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a Hollywood legend, and his roles need no introduction. Pratt would do well to mind his P's and Q's around his wife then because the former Governator is also still pretty buff too.

Pratt has been walking the straight and narrow with Katherine Schwarzenegger, and despite the 10 year age gap, they have been getting along just fine. They got married in 2019 and had their first child in 2020. Pratt has a role in the 2021 film "The Tomorrow War."

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie - 15 Years

Scott Disick quite literally found fame because of his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. They even share three children and dated from 2005 to 2015. But in 2017 Disick started making the gossip columns for a different reason when he started dating Sofia Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie.

She was 15 years younger than him, and a teenager when they met, meaning the relationship caught a lot of flack and attention. At one point they even moved in together, but in 2020 they broke up. In 2021 Disick has been rumored to be dating Amelia Hamlin, a model 19 years his junior.

Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher - 18 Years

Eddie Murphy may come across like a player, but in fact, he has only been married one time. That was to Nicole Mitchell. That marriage was between 1993 and 2006, and he followed it up with an extended relationship with Spice Girl Mel B. But the closest he's come to marriage again is with model Paige Butcher.

There might be an 18 year age gap, but neither party seems to mind it much. They started dating in 2012 and announced their engagement in 2018. While wedding bells are nowhere to be heard yet, they do have a daughter together. In 2021 Murphy starred in the film "Coming2America."

Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie - 39 Years

While we're trying to treat this age gap thing like a rare occurrence, actor Dennis Quaid has been in big age gap relationships a few times. At one point he was seeing model Auzina. she was 32 years younger than him and they dated for three years.

But they broke up, and he moved on to Laura Savoie, who is 39 years younger than him. This time he had no intention of ending it, and they married in 2020. Quaid starred in two 2021 films: "Born a Champion" and "Blue Miracle."

Madonna and Ahlamalik Williams - 17 Years

Madonna has been around the block a few times. Having been married to Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, she hasn't been committed to anyone since she and the latter called time on their marriage. She has however been in a few relationships, and one that caught the eye in 2021 was with dancer Ahlamalik Williams.

Williams is a dancer who joined Madonna on tour but has also worked for Nicki Minaj and even Cirque du Soleil. In 2021 he also collaborated with Stella McCartney for his song "New Song." Williams and Madonna also celebrated her birthday together in 2021, where she also announced her return to the Warner label.

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy - 12 Years

William H. Macy is 12 years older than Felicity Huffman. But you wouldn't say it, especially since they have been married for over two decades, showing that the age gap doesn't matter. Add to that the fact that they dated for 15 years before getting hitched, and it's probably a match made in heaven.

Huffman wasn't an easy catch though and rebutted Macy's marriage proposals several times before accepting. They share two daughters, who Huffman tried to get into UCLA via the 2019 college scam. She was sentenced to 14 days in prison for that. Macy meanwhile starred in another season of "Shameless" in 2021.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert - 20 Years

Prince Albert II is not your archetypal prince charming. Well... he is charming... but he's also a bit of a playboy. Or at least he was until he met former South African Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock. Before her, he fathered two children and also had a plethora of women come forward claiming he fathered children with them.

Now that he's settled down there are fewer stories, and the set of twins Wittstock bore are his. It seems that her athletic ability and their 20-year age gap are enough for the Prince, who doesn't have time for anyone else with all the energy it takes to keep up with her.

Billie Piper and Laurence Fox - 5 Years

Laurence Fox and Billie Piper come from two different performance art backgrounds. Fox's grandparents are the famous British duo, Robin and Angela Fox. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before pursuing a career in acting. Piper meanwhile got straight into showbiz with a role in the show "Scratchy & Co" when she was 13.

She gained fame for her musical talents, with a number one hit song called "Because We Want To." She and Fox met while working on a stage play called "Treats." They got married in 2007 and have two children, but they eventually divorced in 2016. Piper has had a role in the series "I Hate Suzie" since 2020.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness - 13 Years

Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness are a pretty special couple. Not only do they navigate a 13 year age gap, but they've been doing it as a married couple since 1996. Plus, they've not only withstood the test of time but have also overcome some massive challenges.

The most notable of these was Furness's fertility problems, which led to them adopting two children. They met on the set of an Australian show called Correlli in 1995. At the time Furness was the experienced star and Jackman was still a bit part novice. In 2021 Jackman did some voice work on "Free Guy" and also starred in "Reminiscence."

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder - 10 Years

They may be 10 years apart, but Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed can share some pretty similar stories from their careers. That's because both of them made their names playing vampires: Reed was one of the glittering kind in the "Twilight Saga," while Somerhalder was the more conventional kind in "Vampire Diaries."

They have been debating the credentials of their version of vampire since 2014 when they started dating. They haven't let that break them down, though, and got married just months later. They also had a daughter in 2017. Somerhalder appeared in a 2021 episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

David Foster and Katharine McPhee - 34 Years

David Foster is a pretty big deal in the music industry. With 16 Grammy awards to his name, you can understand why. He also has a reputation in the marriage department, and his five marriages prove it. He acknowledged that his failing marriages were an issue, and did some soul searching after marriage number four.

He has been putting a lot of effort into his fifth marriage to 2006 American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee. There's a 34 year age gap between them, and McPhee is actually one year younger than Foster's third daughter. They're still going strong despite this, and in 2021 McPhee gave birth to their first child.

Guy Ritchie & Jacqui Ainsley - 13 Years

When Guy Ritchie was married to Madonna, he described the marriage as a soap opera. He tried to make it work, but in the end, it just got too much for him and they divorced. He did get one of the highest These days he is married to Jacqui Ainsley and appears to be getting everything he didn't with Madonna with her.

There are 13 years between them, but they tick each other's boxes. Ritchie was particularly impressed with the fact that they don' argue, and that they finished each other's sentences. Ritchie meanwhile has directed the 2021 film Wrath of Man.

Alexis Roderick and Billy Joel - 33 Years

Another subject who hasn't been afraid to have a huge age gap in his relationships. Billie Joel has been married to model Christie Brinkley, and cookbook author Katie lee both younger than him, with Lee notably 32 years his junior. He did it again, this time with former equestrian Alexis Roderick.

She worked as an executive for Morgan Stanley when they met. They married in 2015, and the couple has two children together, to go with the two daughters Joel had with Brinkley. In 2021 Joel's song The Stranger featured in the series The Stand.

Elliott Spencer and Stephen Fry - 30 Years

Stephen Fry is a famous British actor and writer who gained popularity for his double act with Hugh Laurie of "House M.D." fame. Fry is also famous for his roles in the sketch comedy series "Blackadder" and for appearances in films like "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows."

He has been married to Elliott Spencer since 2015. Spencer is a comedian who moves in circles with big-time British comics like Jimmy Carr and David Mitchell.
